## About Rome

Rome (The Senate and People of Rome, SPQR) is a Roman Empire-themed combat simulation and living history group founded in 1987 by Sean Richey, who leads the group under the name Dominus. The group participates in SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism), Markland, Dagorhir, Darkon, and other LARP events along the US East Coast. Rome portrays Roman soldiers, gladiators, senators, and civilians with historically accurate equipment and costumes.
