Rules for Ragnarok XIII.

Laws of the Land

  1. No one may usurp the authority of the Landholders, Bob and Carnie. Their problems with you are our problems too.
  2. Second only to the site owners are the Heralds on duty at the TrollBooth, or appointed others.
  3. Battlefield Heralds carry the lighting of Jupiter, and have the power to strike down any man.
  4. Safety first. All weapons must be checked by Ragnarok officials and deemed safe. They are subject to site inspections by Heralds. No live steel on or near a battlefield. Persons violating this law will be removed from the campground without question or recourse.
  5. NO SWIMMING IN SHADOW LAKE. Swimmers may use the pool any time.
  6. DO NOT touch anyone else’s property at any time or under any circumstances without their expressed permission.
  7. No soap or detergents in the lake or ponds. Wash dishes, clothes, and bodies elsewhere.
  8. Trash must be kept together and in proper receptacles for daily pick-up.
  9. NO WHINING. Whiners will be crucified immediately.

Best Practices

  1. Always 'hail' a strange camp before walking into it.
  2. Never argue on the battlefields.....if you have time to argue you must be dead.
  3. Try not to insult strangers...they just might kill you!
  4. Police your camp daily and leave it cleaner than when you arrived.
  5. Water is life. Fighters...never forget to drink lots of water. Don’t dehydrate. Prehydrate!
  6. When you die, fall over dead. Don't stand there, don't walk away. Die.

RAGNAROK RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

Dagorhir’s National rules are well documented, and there is no need to revisit all of them here. Every Dagorhir chapter, or Realm, maintains at least a copy of the National Rules along with their own. The National Rules are maintained as a standard for the sake of simplicity, although each Realm has instituted variations on that theme. For a copy of the basics, please refer to your own Realm’s leadership, or to the web site "http://www.dagorhir.com/arms.htm". This will provide a summary of the basic Nation Rules. In the Survival Guide we may include this for your convenience. The Ragnarok National War Council has made some changes and clarifications over the last few years, primarily for the purpose of safety and consistency.

  10. Grappling: wrestling in a safe and reasonable manner, unarmed individuals struggle hand to hand, attempting to subdue or unbalance the other without strikes, throws or joint/nerve holds. A good example is high school wrestling.
